I was born in Tehran where I started my career as a photojournalist and then cameraman in news sector and I produced my first documentary short film in 2002. From this time, beside being active in visual journalism, I have been working in one of the most advanced industrial photo studio called Lorca. Iran 2005 presidential election is my last photojournalism assignment.

Since 2006, when I started to travel and work internationally, I found my interest mostly in documentary movies while photography has alway been the inevitable part of my life. Luckily I had chance to develop my skills by joining successful projects such as Argo and Rhio Season in Istanbul where I decided to continue my career.

Before establishing my first film production (Short Film Production) in 2010, I was working as a freelancer with some TV channels such as BBC Persian and Digiturk.

Since 2013 to 2017 I had the chance to develop my career with my Turkish Partner in Locaist Studio where we produced numerous of TV mini documentary series and commercials beside assisting and consulting local and international projects.

I have always been inspired by Iran Cinema where high-end projects can be done with small group, sufficient budget and a creative story. With this idea, I established Dorna Studio with a great team who I am working with for the last 10 years; a group of talented professionals who can work in challenging situation passionately.

My multi-task team has been proven that a great story telling and creativity in production are main key for a valuable production. That is why we have chosen a slogan which we have been living it proudly in many challenging situations: “Call us when it’s impossible”
